This IOSH Managing Safely is a training course intended for those in a management or supervisory position, in any organisation. Upon completion of the course, all trainees will have vast knowledge of Health and Safety and Safe Working Systems.
The course duration will be between 20 -24 hours. This includes online learning with writing and submission of practical risk assessment for your final project.
This course is intended for Managers and Supervisors in any sector or organisation. After undertaking the course, all trainees will have gained a broad knowledge of Health and Safety and Safe Working Systems.
The aim of this IOSH Managing Safely Online course is to enable managers and duty holders clarify what must be achieved and documented to help meet legislative requirements should firstly undertake the IOSH Working Safely course and then move onto the IOSH Managing Safely course.
Introducing Managing Safely
This module reinforces the role of managers in making sure all members of their team understand the significance and uphold the principles of managing safely.
Assessing Risks
Risk assessments and a simple scoring system are introduced in this module, and delegates are given the chance to execute both.
Controlling Risks
This examines how risks can be fully controlled or reduced through specific techniques and methods.
Identifying Hazards
This is where all the main issues of any operation are tackled – everything from entrances and exits, work traffic, fire, chemicals, electricity, and so much more are discussed.
Understanding Your Responsibilities
This module rounds up the demands of the law and how the legal system works in reinforcing a health and safety management system.
Investigating Accidents And Incidents
This sheds light on the importance of determining the “path” of workplace accidents, and how to properly go about it.
Measuring Performance
This explains how checking performance contributes to the improvement of health and safety in a work environment through basic performance indicators, auditing, and proactive and reactive measures.
The average time required to complete the learning is approximately 20 - 24 hours, however the course is designed to go at the pace of the learner and can be completed in more time if needed.
On successful completion of the assessment, the candidate will receive a printed IOSH Managing Safely certificate within 1 month of completion.
